How To Boost Productivity and Work From Home Effectively

Working from home can certainly be a huge adjustment. During this trying time, it's important to remain as productive as possible. We've put together a list of five tips to help you to adjust to working from home.

1. Use a laptop for versatility

Using a laptop gives you versatility if you want to work in different areas. This might be helpful if you prefer to have this kind of flexibility. Laptops are also super lightweight and last for a very long time, so they're a great investment.

2. Do one thing at a time

Make yourself a to-do list and put the most important task at the very top, then place the second most-important task below it, and so on and so forth. Put all of your energy into completing the first task, and then move onto the next one. You'll most likely get through the entire list by the end of the day.

3. Communicate with colleagues

Be sure to schedule specific times to communicate with colleagues. You can do this over Facetime or Skype. You can even do this over the phone. Be clear about what type of communication works best for you.

4. Take breaks

Be sure to schedule in lunch breaks and eat three meals per day. One advantage of working from home is that you don't have to wait forever to have lunch and can just eat whenever you're hungry. You should also make sure you take the necessary breaks you need to work out and stay healthy.
